There are two editions made on the 1911 large size pen barrel, one with the cap ring and one without the cap ring to create more space for Maki-e painting. These series is decorated using the Hira Maki-e technique by master artist, Mr Kousen Oshita. These series is designed by Maki-e Artist Azumi. The maki-e collection is fitted with a 21K solid gold nib.
