For centuries, humankind has been fascinated with scientific discovery – from the early astronomical breakthroughs of Galileo Galilei, to modern advancements in digital technology. Now, with Hemisferium, you can revisit the dawn of modern science. Modelled off an original astrolabe used by Philip II of Spain in the 16th Century (now housed in the Kensington museum) this Nautical Astrolabe is made from antique-look brass, and features a rotating ruler, or medicline, that can be used to measure the sun's altitude.
